A game that Austen started very well and capitalized on a slow start by Elsenham going 2-0 up early on after a goal from Matt and an 0G from a Matt Sharp throw-in.
Elsenham got back into the game very quickly and as a result of poor defending by Austen were back to 2-2 with goals from corners. After a fine goal by Elsenham in which the goalkeeper was lobbed, Elsenham were 3-2 up at half-time.
In the second half, Austen dominated the game giving very little of the ball to Elsenham. Unfortunately, Elsenham scored again making it 4-2.
Austen never gave up and kept constant pressure on the Elsenham goal. Austen were awarded a penalty which was well converted by Matt Sharp. The equaliser eventually came through Ryan Lusby after several attempts on goal.
Austen showed spirit in the second half to fight back after being down by 2, but a 4-4 draw was a fair result.
