The Blues team were taught a lesson on playing football this morning against a very skilful, talented and unbeaten Gresley Way side. On a extremely cold and foggy morning, the boys could not quite live up to some of the performances in the previous weeks. Having said this, all the boys continued to show great effort and determination throughout the game, and against weaker opposition could have scored a few goals. It was the clever passing of the opposition, and their speed in attack which caused the Blues defence a number of problems. Even so Miles, Sam, Eden and Harrison battled well, and when the Blues did attack Luke, Ryan and Calum showed some good skills themselves. Joshua made a great save in the first quarter, but could not stop the Gresley Way attackers scoring a number of goals. Luke replaced Joshua in goal for the last quarter and made some good saves and set up a couple of good chances for Calum and Ryan with his goal kicking. Harrison won the Player of the Match award for a battling defensive display. A game to chalk down to experience for the boys, keep your heads up and COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!!!
